Camouflage in Photoshop

I needed some camo for a design I was doing, and there were no good tutorials
on the internet, so I figured it out myself, and thought I'd share...I'm that
kind of guy.

If at any point during this tutorial you find yourself unable to see your
image, do not worry, that just means the camouflage is working.

Step 1.    Make a new image.  I made mine 1500px X 1500px, 300 DPI.
           - Fill the background with the base color of your camo.
             I chose 76702D

Step 2.    Create a new layer it will be 'Layer 1'.

Step 3.    Hit "D" to choose the default colors (black and white).

Step 4.        > Filter > Render > Clouds.
Figure A.

Step 5.    <Image <Adjustments <Brightness/Contrast...
        - Crank the contrast all the way up.
Figure B.

Note: If you're making cow camouflage, you can stop here.

Step 6.   Go to >Select >Color Range Choose "Highlights"
Figure C.

Step 7.    >Select >Modify >Smooth  Sample Radius: 15 pixels.

Step 8.    Create a new layer"Layer 2" and fill it with the 1st color
of your camouflage.  I chose 2A371C

Step 9.    Now, delete "Layer 1"  Your image should look something like this:
Figure D.

Now all you have to do is repeat steps 1 through 9 with different colors.

1 - create new layer (Layer 3)
2 - With default colors >filter >render >clouds
3 - >Edit >Adjustments >Brightness/Contrast - Boost contrast all the way up.
4 - >Select Color Range - Choose 'Highlights'.
5 - >Select >Modify >Smooth >15 pixels.
6 - Create new layer (Layer 4), and fill with your next color (I chose  356626)
7 - Delete Layer 3.
Figure E.

Now do it again with your next color.  For the 3rd color, I chose (5D775B)
Figure F.

You may need to arrange your layers to make it look good.
